There are a bunch of commenters with a serious hate-on for Ariana. It’s really weird. Anything Davidson is justified by either his being a comedian, or his history of trauma and mental illness. Anything Ariana does is immediately mean, because...she’s Ariana? Something like that anyway.

The song felt mature. She doesn’t trash him at all!

And her mental health? She’s been through multiple traumatic events in the last year and the song is about focusing on her relationship with herself. She literally thanks Pete in the song. The next is referring to the next relationship - the one with herself. Why are you so willing to pile on her?

He consistently used her to enhance his fame even after Mac Miller died and she was clearly uncomfortable with it (she left SNL in tears unable to do the show, so they had to replace her with Kanye, shortly after his death but there was Pete Davidson still using the relationship for fodder the very same episode she…

I see we’ve all decided to forget how creepy Pete Davidson was to Ariana Grande and all the *insert Whoopi “You in danger, girl” gif here* moments, in favor of yet again blaming Ariana Grande for not being nicer to her troubled ex. Interesting.

I feel for Pete but honestly that song is a smash and I am so grateful. It is a song that will give a lot of women strength!

Probably the first AG song I’ve listened (not my genre), it was pretty good. The sentiment in the lyrics was actually pretty nice and mature, if you bother to listen.
