Here’s some things about this article that are bullshit:
Bring back Blue Pants!
I think my favorite was when he was describing the hardships of the 60s, listing assassinations, talking about experiments, and then:
Is there a possibility that the NCAA comes out and says it’s not good enough?
A few things:
There’s only three things this rule could be talking about:
I know the Celtics are not Deadspin’s favorite team, but it filles me with schadenfreude to think that they’ll be able to sink LeBron’s season again.
Couple of things:
15,400 if we’re going by straight proportion (i.e. 70% of 22,000). If it’s an exponential thing, I don’t have enough information to solve :/
A panda is a bear like a hot dog is a sandwich.
Instant red flag.
That comback was only improbable if you’ve never watched a Gonzaga tournament game ever.
My dad used to joke “I’m gonna beat you ‘til you bleed, then beat you for bleedin’!” And then he’d laugh and laugh, like that wasn’t an absolutely horrifying thing to say, let alone laugh about. He’s a foster parent now.
I don’t talk to him, and haven’t in at least a couple of years. I tried to establish a relationship…
This is something I’ve been dealing with lately as a child abuse survivor (I’m now 30). I have realized that a great deal of my self-loathing is tied to the fact that even as my dad was regularly beating me, I loved him and I wanted to make him happy. I wanted him to be proud of me.
This statement is mindboggling in its pointlessness.
Do me a favor and scroll up to the top of the page, right under the black bar. Tell me what it says. I’ll wait.
There was a playoff series between the Bruins and Habs a few years back (Bruins fan; I know, and I’m sorry) where the Bruins kept getting these great looks and hit the post EVERY GODDAMN TIME. By about the fifth goal denied by the bar, I know the game and the series was fucking done.
I’m kind of depending on the Celtics and Cavs meeting in the conference finals and the Celtics becoming a thorn in LeBron’s side once again, just to see the look on his face. It’s the only sense of justice I’d have left.
Of course the minority-led movie finally winning the big prize was surrounded by chaos. This is absolutely divine irony, and I couldn’t be happier.
