The lead guest was John Kerry, not Pewdiepie. Maybe you should actually watch the Late Show before criticizing?

To be fair, he wasn’t the lead guest — Colbert had John Kerry and Claire Danes on before Pewdiepie. I still think it was a slightly odd choice of guest, but I admire Colbert (and whoever books his guest) for striving to have an eclectic mix of people in these first few weeks of his show.

“Why is a YouTube gaming personality a lead guest on a late night talk show?”

Actually he was the third tacked on guest in a series of 3 guests, with late night usually having 2 and a musical performance. John Kerry took up two segments, followed by Claire Danes (Homeland) with Pewdiepie being a quick few minutes in lieu of a musical performance.

If anything, over the centuries, Japan is more inclined to take something from outside and remix it into something else. Case in point: the Japanese language.

Nah, we’re talking about how Apple made a compelling product and Japanese people bought it because it offered them an experience they couldn’t get on Japanese mobile phones. If Microsoft is able to offer that, then people will migrate to the Xbox. If not, Japanese people will keep using other platforms.
