Fuck I love that movie.
Fuck I love that movie.
Oh cousin Merle REALLY!
The Niles Supremacy
I’m a member of the Queer community and, aside from it not showing at any of my city’s cinemas, it’s a romcom and I largely don’t enjoy that genre.
I know what you mean.
Hahaha brilliant.
With regards to the Looney Tunes characters, that’s certainly not the case here.
What people have nostalgia for can also be dependent on where you live and what was shown at the time.
It reminds me of Aaron Sorkin’s hilarious Studio 60 moment where his Matthew Perry stand-in gets a burst of inspiration that the height of frat comedy is Gilbert and Sullivan and that doing a parody of one of their songs is going to be the key to connecting with a youth audience on a 2006-era television series.
I’m aware of all of them, but then again I also studied film at university.
I’d argue that is probably the view of the very vast majority of people (at least those who are aware of its existence).
It’s a bit like when you see Americans particularly, talking about stuff like the Honeymooners and I Love Lucy etc in the present day and how there’s still a huge audience for them.
Yeah I agree with that. The Snyder Cut, for all of the bullshit surrounding it, is night and day better than the theatrical cut and holds together well as the climax of a story which begins with Man of Steel.
God I hated that movie when it came out. The unnecessary and long framing sequences, the silly and impenetrable made-up lingo etc and the black hole of charisma that was the lead actor.
Binged episodes 4 and 5 tonight and damn these last two episodes have impressed me.
I love inexplicable releases - Famously Die Hard, despite being essentially a Christmas movie, came out in the middle of the year.
It’s a movie I remember loving when I saw it circa 1993-1994. Having only seen it once since then (sometimes in the early 2000s), I have no idea whether it holds up but the second one’s release may finally convince me to give it another shot.
Yeah absolutely. I know plenty of people in their mid-30s who are highly successful in their professional careers who have enormous and similar relationship anxiety.
Another great episode. I really enjoyed this one and the performances of both Maslany and Roth continue to shine.
I’ve got fondish memories off it while immediately thinking it wasn’t anywhere near as good last the first. Admitted I was 10 when it came out and the 14 the last time I saw it (around the time of III’s release).
