It’s incredibly funny to listen to the DVD commentaries by The Simpsons writers who worked for Carson and expressing their absolute, unbridled dislike of him as a notorious joke thief and someone who, by the last decade or so of his time on the show, was effectively only hosting it part-time.

It’s an awful film but I actually liked parts of what he did with Blaze. Specifically his fixation/attraction to Karen Carpenter.

Interestingly, the Gold Coast, where they’re shooting this, was where they made Kong: Skull Island back in 2015.

Fiddlee-dee! That will require a tetanus shot!

Season 2 of True Detective is one of these things which I think will get reassessed eventually (possibly also - Game of Thrones S8).

God what a trainwreck that fucking thing was right before New-52.

The Daredevil movie is one I’ve got a soft spot for as a huge fan of the character.

Sort of - Denny O’Neill is the credited writer on that issue but Miller was in essence co-writing issues of Daredevil at the time (this was leading into Born Again).

Same here. That one as I recall was originally issued for the 89 film line and then reissued one more time with Returns.

The Penguin and the first Batman figure from the 89 line were both straight repaints/mods on the Superpowers line from 1984-85.

Incredibly talented actor with some amazing roles to his name.

Good. Fuck him

This is the same fatigue which was meant to see Ant-Man tank in July 2015? Man that’s been setting in for a long time now.

The AV Club comments section has become Australian so gradually we barely even noticed.

I quite like him in the role and the stuff we saw of him.

I quite like Grant Morrison’s Batman, though their take on the character got a really good run through their JLA run from 1996/97 to 2000. I like those stories play Batman as this utterly cool and confident character who is always in control.

The alternative/extended ending is significantly better than the original theatrical version in so much as it makes sense and ties the whole theme of the film together.

I’m really excited about this show. I’m a huge, huge fan of the 80s and 90s era of the NBA and Magic Johnson was one of my idols as a kid who grew up loving basketball and played (very poorly) for a few years at school.

I haven’t read too much of the newer Batman stuff since Snyder left some years back. I quite liked his run overall.

For whatever reason, I absolutely read her has being Bi in Year One the first time I read it and that was well over 20 years ago now.
