@NeoTechni: There isn't currently an open standard for video chatting, is there? If so, what is it?

@RubiksCube: I tried this on iPhone but so many of the apps I use all the time (phone, email, calendar, contacts, lots of Safari web pages) all kinda look the same when they're zoomed out to 1/9 size or what have you.

@Canon7D-Fanboy: Yes I know, again as I said I thought you were talking about what you wanted in a Pro.

@Canon7D-Fanboy: I thought you were talking about what you wanted in a Pro. SSDs are the same size as any 2.5" drive of course (and a lot lighter, and use a lot less power, and give off a lot less heat, and make a lot less noise and vibration).

@cadenlaguna: I don't know the details but as I recall Firewire supports syncing clocks between devices which is crucial in digital recording. If USB3 takes care of that then Firewire might indeed be on its way out.

@cadenlaguna: Agree on HDMI but Firewire won't go anywhere, too many audio apps rely on it.

@Canon7D-Fanboy: You want an SSD, there's literally no downside these days except price.

@Totenglocke42: What? I have over 800 movies and 50,000 songs stored externally from my MBP and not one of them are on an optical disc of any kind.

@Totenglocke42: That's not true for new drives, some like OWC's Mercury line don't even degrade in performance over time and don't cost significantly more.

One thing that will be gone will be the DVD drives and good riddance. Take all that space and fill it with battery.

@anitesh.jaswal: Of course they saw it coming, they're betting enough people are honest to make the service worth it.

Those are both terrible.

@oneDRTYrusn: Well if you don't mind indulging me I'd like to see a long-term study that shows iPad users are unhappy with the device, as I haven't heard anything about that - maybe the blogs etc. I read like Gizmodo have a pro-Apple bias?

"Love is Why Apple Needs Steve"?

@oneDRTYrusn: Advertising may get people to buy a product, but that won't keep them happy months and years later. Long-term customer satisfaction surveys show people are pretty happy with their iPads after 6+ months:

@zross312: I'll take all your AAPL right now at half price of Friday's close, after all you don't want that exposure do you?

@oneDRTYrusn: Well it's not like there's no down side to getting there first, for example not being able to implement all the great features you listed in order to get to market ahead (way ahead) of the competition.

@Hanger: Link works fine, can't say I agree with having an on-screen button at all times to handle multitasking though, maybe that can be reconfigured to use gestures or something.

@oneDRTYrusn: Based on the spec sheet, Galaxy Tab should be blowing away iPad in sales, any ideas why it isn't?
