It was nice seeing an actual movie character rather than just their random name-dropping, but in no way does AoS "feel" like it's part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (Honestly, can anyone imagine Skye or Ward in the same room as Nick Fury and Black Widow?)

"Socioeconomically speaking, you are more like an inner city Latina"

It seems my question offended people, but I was genuinely curious because thats what I thought I read too. Also, I worked in a movie theater in the 90's and we often did surveys. It was about Theater Cleanliness but they had throwaway questions about favorite/least favorite actors/actresses. It seemed that Male

Um…yes? Race/Gender issues will always exist but when it comes to entertainment then a quality product is a quality product. Redd Foxx in the 70's, Bill Cosby or Eddie Murphy in the 80's, Chris Rock in the 90's etc. These are people who's appeal wasn't due to color, but due to them being great at what they do.

Just curious, but do women viewers actually want more female actresses in films?

No matter what they do, I really don't think they can butcher a story worse than they did with Peter Pan. Painting Pan as the creepy boy loving kidnapper was an amazing angle but then the "family" storyline got wedged in and stopped it from being anything but a plot device.

Your frustration is misdirected. This is a show where the concept is fantastic but the execution is awful. And while the show had many "wait and see" defenders early on, by this point it's pretty hard to defend a show that has squandered so much of its potential on repetitive story lines.

Just curious, but does anyone else feel that the Slade/Ollie/Shado love triangle is one of the weaker motivations in the show?

Disagree. To me, I think the scenes with Trip and Garrett made Ward more interesting.

This is the hardest thing for the writers of AoS. They're told to write a SHIELD show that intertwines with the movies but they have zero input when it comes to the movie scripts writing how SHIELD in the MCU actually operates so it feels like two completely different universes. (And lets be honest, can you imagine

"Hey Slade, did you know I'm so into Laurel. I really dig super skinny unemployed girls with addiction issues and totally hate fit busty ninjas that enjoy making love on the salmon ladder so please don't kill Laurel."

It's true that Manu Bennet is short, but are you saying Crixus and Slade aren't physically imposing?

But the more screen time Sara gets the more it seems she's a goner.

This is the exact problem with making Laurel take over as Canary. (I know, I hate hate hate the idea too but with all of Slades talk of "taking away the one you love" then I think the writing is on the wall for Sara.)

I'm convinced that Diggle should've got the Mirukuru instead of Roy.

I'm not trying to prove one type of fan is better than the other, but most people who saw the Marvel films still have no clue what the cosmic cube is and would lose a $5 bet if asked to explain the plot of the Avengers.

One of my bigger annoyances in books/film/tv is when a characters standing is unearned. And Skye is the definition of unearned infatuation.

Summer Glau: Alphas
Amy Acker: Person of Interest
Emily Rickards: Arrow
Rooney Mara: Girl with a Dragon Tattoo
Carrie-Anne Moss: Matrix

[Skye transforms to a bird and emerges from the grip of death. Cast take turns praising how special she is and cry for some reason. May turns on engine (thwwwp / crunch). May smiles.]
