You absolutely won’t be able to watch it if you haven’t seen the final season. I’d say the investment in what happened to some of the characters will be needed as it looks like the movie opens in a frought moment after one of them has endured a season full of horrifying treatment at the hands of a bunch of psychos.

I notice that guy who was in the comments during the first 3 or 4 weeks squealing that the reviewer and the commenters “just didn’t get it” is strangely absent these days.
