I got Skate and Skate 3. I love the first and the third just felt like it was getting way too unrealistic. While playing the first, I really wished I could get off my board, but once I could in 3, I felt it ruined lots of stuff (maybe it was just done poorly?)

Metal slimes, babbles and the like (especially in DQIII and IV) were great practice in not raising one's expectations and hopes too soon. You fight it, you don't say "BAM MOTHERFUCKER UUHHHHHH!", you say "there's a small chance I do believe", and then you just go at it.

I'm sure Android is great, but with the Android phone I have the last two years, it's completely put me off it (the phone is super slow and clunky). Also, my provider stopped upgrading the OS about 6 months after it came out, and that hasn't happened here with the iPhone yet. So it all factors in for me I guess.
