if they were smart and wanted to gain a ton of new MH fans in the US, they would release a MH game for the PSV and the PS3 that allowed you to cross-play (pick up where you left off on either device).

They're similar but a lot of apps made for the iPad are geared towards people looking to replace a netbook / laptop or wishing to own a high-powered eBook/tablet.

I think it has to do with it being released on a casual system. Had it been released on the 360 or the PS3 w/ online support. The game would've gained a lot of new fans. Lets be honest here, MH is not a casual game.
