RadioShack is clearing out its inventory of Arduino shields in-store only. Great deals to be had if your store still has some available.

Both of these shortcuts work in Firefox as well.

Hasn't been pushed to my phone yet. :(

No problem. Just passing the word along.

Free 1 year subscription of Wired from HSN. Says $.01 on the product page but changes to $.00 in cart. Doesn't require auto renew, which is nice. Found out about it from Rick over at CNET's Cheapskate.

Screwdriver, wrench, punch, and socket (deep & regular) sets. Prybar, pipe wrench, level, measuring tape, and duct tape. Also a good ladder and flashlight.

This is a great idea, but it could have been executed a bit better. Namely finding a better imput that doesn't require "tricking" the radio buttons and using a string to secure the port. Personally I would have used the tape input, and taken out the tape motors, possibly created a dock from the cassette deck.

You speak the truth.

Android Jellybean is fantastic. I can't imagine switching to iOS7 and losing the ability to have widgets and themes.

Now if only Engadget had as good as comments as Lifehacker.

Skip the floor seats and go for the balcony/mezzanine. It's most people's instinct to think the closest, most expensive seats are the best. This isn't always the case. While it may be difficult to see from far back in a large theater, thanks to modern audio systems, most of the time it's not that big of a deal. Save

True, most people I know use the terms off, generic and store brand interchangeably. If it's not General Mills, Kellogg's or an other big name brand it's one of the above terms.

Malt-O-Meal cereal is just as good if not better than the name brand cereals. Marshmallow Mateys, Cinnamon Toasters, Apple Zings, and Cocao Dyno-Bites are all cereals I purchase regularly and can say first hand they as good as the name brand. Now if only they would come out with a generic of Raisin Nut Bran.

This is especially true if you're in college. I volunteered for about a year at the local PBS station where I went to school. I eventually ended up a full time employee, but even if I wouldn't have there were about 3 or 4 people who would have bent over backwards to help me find a job. It also allowed me to work with

Exactly, and I live 4+ hours away. So when I am there I convince myself "well it will be a while before you get back here..."

Lastly, it's worth mentioning some of the real-world stores—you know, the ones you actually walk into and buy at the counter. Micro Center in particular is a great store, since they have insanely cheap CPUs compared to other retailers. You can't get these deals on their web site; their whole idea is that the cheap

So did google now just replace bandsintown?

I do this for anything that allows me to. I'd rather pay it and get it out of the way than deal with paying each month. The saving ~$20 a year is just a bonus.
