Showing my age, but building a computer THESE days is fool proof. You can’t plug cables in the wrong places, you can’t plug them in backwards, there is no Master/Slave, outside of picking components, the only hard parts are motherboard wires for the case *big fingers* and making sure you don’t crush your processor…

I use 75% plastic boards that go in the dishwasher, and I think that high heat gets rid of that possible smell.
