The show’s brilliance is matched only by the oddness of it not being available in a decent box set. I rewatched it two or three months ago and wanted to get the whole thing on disc but they are weirdly difficult to find, particularly if you want to be consistent in format. Like I could get a combination of seasons on

I just think this was method acting. Jimmy Pesto would totally do 1/6

Lindelof was so smart in the wake of Lost to have a show where the whole point is that there isn’t, and never will be, an explanation. I love how it critically and sympathetically examined our need for stories to frame and accept loss. In the end, it doesn’t matter if Nora’s story about her lost family is true, what

One of my top five shows of all time, and while it does get a lot of acclaim from the right places, I think it deserves even more - it really deserves to be on the same pedestal as Sopranos, The Wire, the BBverse, etc. Just beautiful television.

Yeah, I see Syd and Carmy as most similar to the dynamic between Don Draper and Peggy Olson. Their chemistry isn’t romantic or sexual, it’s an intense platonic respect. It’s intimate in its way, but built around seeing each other as artists with similar drives, as kindred spirits within their craft.

Hard agree on all of this. I’ve grown to resent full-season-drop binges of shows because it incentivizes watching the whole thing as quickly as you can justify. If you watch at your own pace, you risk getting spoiled or simply missing the window where anyone’s still discussing it before they’ve moved on. If you gorge

Even though I trusted The Bear’s writers to not go down that romance road, I still let out a sigh of relief. The quality they put out for two seasons was damn good so I figured they were smart enough to not do it, but you still never know, especially if execs somewhere start meddling.

Edebiri is obviously right about the option of pacing yourself or binging a show, but from the actual streamers’ business perspective it seems like they’d do better building buzz around a show (and thus possibly attracting more subs) with weekly releases.

Thank fuck.

omg it’s almost as if two heterosexual people of the opposite gender can be friends without it becoming romantic! i know, i know, Hollywood doesn’t usually understand human behaviour so we shouldn’t expect too much.

Well yeah but not with the trenchcoat.

I was going to reply the same thing - his acting in the last few minutes of Ordinary People, basically from the golf game to the last line, is amazing. And of course, Mary Tyler Moore’s performance was just as heartbreaking in a different way.

I think it’s being awfully generous in even considering that Trump’s recollection of events is remotely accurate.

I don’t know how people missed his assholishness over the years. I remember the tabloid covers with him, Marla and Ivana from when I was a kid. Then he went all racist on Obama, pretty publicly too.

Trump was starstruck because “I’ve been watching her” on Will & Grace, and here was a beautiful celebrity being “so thankful” to him. “And I’m saying, ‘She’d do anything for me,’” he reflected, his words “lathered with a suggestive grease, similar to” the infamous Access Hollywood tape, Setoodeh writes.

There’s nothing wrong with a little celebrity crush. I have them.

Can’t wait until the day he dies. Hopefully it’s on camera and we can all watch the spread of the terror on his hideous face and the piss stain on his ill fitting pants.

Actors like Messing are probably used to flattering slimy entertainment industry bigwigs for the sake of their jobs”

God, I’m so fucking tired of relentlessly exhausting orange fuckball.

Yep, she was in line right behind the big huge manly men who weep giant manly tears because Trump saved America.
