I’m might differ about the characterization of Radar as being child-like and then departs having become more mature.  In the early seasons of the series he was definitely more mature and one of the gang, even sharing martinis in The Swamp.  But as things went along, the writers made him increasingly childlike and

Frank Burns’ best episode, IMO, was “Margaret’s Engagement” (S5/E2), which gave Larry Linville the opportunity to really explore his range. There was Frank slapstick, hysteria, and the standard punching bag stuff, but there was also a nice little soliloquy when Radar gets Frank’s mother on the line and he starts

Hawkeye is central to the show of course, and is a great character, but Charles is my favorite. Even though the character is funny, I find it difficult to watch the Frank episodes because he is so one note rotten and kind of pathetic. Watching everyone beat on him all the time gets tiresome.

so in other words Bill Lawrence didn’t learn a fucking thing from his Scrubs experience--there’s nothing wrong with a pretty good/great show going out while still at the peak of its quality.  I’d miss Ted Lasso but as with Archer (lurching into its 13th season as a mere ghost of its former greatness), sometimes you

Hard to argue with the picks for Hawkeye and Margaret - though another one I love for Hawkeye is Bottle Fatigue. (Sticky Wicket is one of my favorite early Hawkeye episodes because it’s the first time they really challenge his massive ego and paint him as actually being flawed.)

This show will always be TV comfort food for me. My parents had on the reruns, but as an adult, I understand a lot more of the drama and emotion. My favorite of the non-main cast characters was Sidney Freedman. The empathy and subtle humor he brought in was so welcome.

I hope this is the last season, and then in a few years there’s a BBC remake where an English soccer coach has to go coach the Jacksonville Jaguars.

For those who didn’t live through that era, the show was everywhere in syndication. At one time in the early 80s, on channel 5 in DC, it was shown 24 times per week: four times per weekday (late morning, 7-8 pm, 11 pm), and two times on Sat and Sun (11-12 pm).

My favourite Charles Winchester scene. Such good writing. I also like how everyone had a good day and even if the others didn’t know how Charles had a good day, they still knew he had one.

I dunno, something about this doesn’t sit right with me. Marilyn Monroe had a bad enough life, you don’t need to make up even worse stuff to torture us with for three hours.

I don’t feel very grumpy and I think the movie looks sweet, but not particularly affecting. I’m not sure what I should be bawling about, exactly.

I must be having a grumpy day because my heartstrings are not tugged. This trailer didn’t do much for me. But it’s reviews today from the screening have been positive so I’ll probably see it when my friend gets his awards screeners. Lord knows, Hollywood loves a movie about making movies, so expect to get nominations

Oh for fuck’s sake.

At this point, Styles and Pugh could be on my front porch, actually fucking while Wilde holds the camera and I wouldn’t go out to watch.

It’s just baffling to me that the media would rather focus on baseless rumors and gossip”
What turnip truck did you just fall off?

30 Rock had “glaring faults”? There are probably a few nits you can pick here and there, but I recently re-watched a few early seasons, and it’s still one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen.

yeah, I’m hesitant with what I believe around the narrative because we’ve never seen this much reporting on a male directors “bad behaviour”. I will say she does sound very new age in how she navigates her language, which I think can make it difficult to determine someones sincerity, but otherwise it does feel a

That is the most tldr; I have seen today

I’m not denying things are going very well right now, nor am I predicting an imminent downfall. I’m just saying that if another behind the scenes conflict involving her is rumored in her future, people won’t be so quick to take her side. A “diva” reputation has to start somewhere.
