Absolutely 100% why I would never play a permadeath game that requires an internet connection. Fuck that.

“It was a brutal and unworthy death for the character who Hanaf had poured 86 hours into over the course of Diablo IV’s first week.”
Diablo 1 and 2 will still be playable long after 3 and 4 cease to be.
I had asked in some other article why people hate required internet connections for games so much..
That’s because Diablo IV’s hardcore mode treats disconnects like death in order to discourage players from trying to pull the plug in a losing battle to avoid losing a character.
Because you are the same people who cry out about whitewashing, but have no problems with blackwashing. It’s virtue signaling.
This is an amazingly stupid article.
I found it kinda hilarious that a certain section of twitter is going all “we took all these little things and we used them to build our headcanon that gwen’s trans, and we’ll be very loud and vocal about it! — and if your headcanon is that she’s cis, just keep it to yourself”
I personally am trans, so I’m primed to look for it. But yeah, the argument that Gwen is personally trans is not compelling.
Couldn’t have put it better myself. I love seeing more representation in film for any minority - but I’ve always had a problem with head canons that turn into gospel for some people. Partly because it can quickly turn around and become a hostile community against the creators if suddenly there is something that…
People see what they want to see and that’s not always a bad thing. Coming out stories have had a lot of weight for a long time and when you’ve come out in some way or you want to come out or whatever else, you can find representation and strength in that and sometimes that’s exactly how it’s intended. But that…
Thank you,
This seems like a massive stretch , I guess if it helps people sure , why not , but I dont think its actually true.
There’s a difference between identifying with a character and projecting on a character.
People can believe what they want but this seems like a stretch.
Look, Im gunna be THAT PERSON here... Let’s take off the social media conspiracy hat off and look at Gwen. Those have always been her colors since day 1 in the comics and she’s a superhero with a hidden alt identity. Why does that make her automatically trans? Miles colors in the movie was red/pink and blue/purple,…
As a CIS white guy I always worry about venturing into this kind of discussion and I haven’t seen the movie yet (Monday!). But the evidence above seems pretty unpersuasive and it’s not hinted at anywhere else in her character. Having to hide half your life from your loved ones is a recurring theme of Spider-man (and…
Well I’m wondering because it was largely the opposite in D3 and even D2 to a certain extent with runewords, with people complaining about power creep all the time. Which is a problem in its own way, but it doesn’t kill the fun in the same way as logging in one day to find your build borked by hard nerfs.
I’m curious what market segment they’re targeting with this price point other than the usual Apple diehards.
