I think, I've found what might have a lot of folks in a fuss. When you start a game, regardless of how your character is built or how they look, the playing field is mostly level. When your are born, there is no such equality.

I kind of addressed that in my next comment. I am absolutely sure that he is not saying that every SWM is on a playing field above everyone else, only that, all things other things being equal, being an SWM would have a distinct advantage vs. the alternatives. Granted, I'm sure there are situations where that wouldn't…
This doesn't look like persecution to me, it's more of a statement on how the situation is perceived by the writer. It's not like he's saying he hates straight white men, or that they're all at fault for the evils of the world (I mean, he is one after all). He's just saying that, statistically speaking, you guys have…
I wish I could promote things, lol. This is too perfect. Though I'm inclined to think that it might be Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian. The folks who hate these people just don't care enough to do so in public and they make money by simply existing at this point.
Wow, lots of backlash on this one. Touchy subject, I suppose. I thought the metaphor was well done, myself. But, being a SBM, I'm not sure that actually counts for anything ;).
I wish I'd gotten further into the actual stories of CoP and Aht Urghan but by the time I had gotten those expansions I was already winding down. It may not have changed my life but I really do treasure the time I had that game. It was thanks to this game that middle school and earlu high school didn't suck. When I…
YESSSSS! More Tales = always a good thing. The artwork really gives me a FFVIII vibe which I totally love. I really dig the whole futuristic, neo-classical look.
RUDY'S GOT THE CHALK?!
To me, all the Elder Scrolls game just look bland. Just my take on it. Plus Skyrim's Intro is super annoying. What KoA does right beyond pretty every Western RPG I've played is the combat. It's simple and straight forward but there are TONS of options for how you can fit different attacks together. Which class you…
Moar Vanguards? I'm down. This is all well and good but I'm curious as to what they plan on adding story-wise besides the Extended Ending. I feel like something with Aria is in the oven... or at least I hope so. I hope we get to see something on level with the Shadow Broker DLC for ME2. No Arrival silliness though.…
I guess the actual gameplay isn't as big a factor for others as it was for me. That was a big part of what was stopping me from playing the games KoA was inspired by. Well, that and the fact that those other games all looked kind of bland, with the exception of Blizzard's offerings.
Nuuuuu! You can still be wrong! Have faith!
I'd agree with that but I've yet to play a Western Fantasy RPG with a story that's that much better. The story is good enough to keep you interested. The combat, leveling system (very open ended) and aesthetic is where Amalur really shines. The game just looks and feels great. Not that the graphics are crazy nice or…
Wow... glad I played PSO and FFXI. All kinds of nice people there.
I absolutely LOVE how the music changed with each character reveal. It really made the video for me.
I definitely agree that there can be a powerful non-visual element to sex (sounds, voices, etc.) but with unless game is designed that way, what I see would have a pretty big impact on how I feel about it. As cool as the idea itself is, a game that looks like pokemon did while it was on Gameboy wouldn't do a whole…
SAM GIDEON! Woot!
Jesus Christ, where is someone to high five when you need them?! MUTHA FUCKIN' SAM GIDEON, FOLKS! *starts clapping*
Hell, that's nothing to facepalm over! Or rather, if it is, my face is waaaaaaaay over due for some palming :p.
