Bwahah. In my last year of grad school (2018), our Studio was meant to develop start-ups. I thought it was just the Professor who was being delusional, but I have gradually come to realize that the entire startup universe is made up of scammers, wishful thinking, and wealthy people looking for any place to grow their

Nothing says “civilised” like brutal and sadistic punishment!

Not really. The people who actually steal the cars are easily replaced. In many cases here, they’re basically young adults who are exploited by money in communities in which the parents or parent - by dint of lack of economic opportunity - have to be at work or asleep all the time just to survive.

Because it’s a regulation and regulations kill small businesses like Kia and Hyundai.

WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?

If you’re ever in Indianapolis, do yourself a favor and drive to the really sketchy part of town, drive under the seating and track and into the Indy 500 infield, where you will find the Indy 500 museum. The cars contained within are... insane. I mean, they are beautiful in ways modern cars just can’t be, but they are

At this point it feels like there’s enough material to make a movie about the struggle to make the Community movie.

I have a hearty 3D blu-ray collection and I’m just praying nothing happens to my 3D TV.

Having just seen Robot Monster in 3D at a film fest, and having previously seen real 3D versions of House of Wax and Creature from the Black Lagoon, I think 3D can be a ton of fun and add a lot to the theatrical experience. I wish 3D TVs still existed, though. Disappointing that got phased out and now I have a bunch

honestly, for the right kind of (mediocre) movie, i would 100% recommend D-Box over traditional cinemas.

3D is here to stay no matter what. And a lot of people around the world prefer 3D over 2D. People were disappointed that Across the Spider-Verse was not released in 3D and that speaks a lot.

I traveled miles and hours at the last minute to see 1953's Inferno at the Museum of the Moving Image where it was well received by a good sized crowd. Not too many 2D movies I would do for that.

In fairness, almost no one on the planet was more “raised by the internet” then I was, and I grew up to be bilingual feminist socialist who is violently pro-science with a pathological aversion to pseudoscience, new-age wooishness and any/all forms of conspiracy theory. So, ya know, we’re not all delusional Nazis.

Don’t let the internet raise your children. This is what happens.

If we were to compare fish years to people years, what would the scale be?

I might be willing to give the Snyder Cut a rewatch (minus that epilogue) if it was re-released in widescreen. Or maybe 3D. But no interest in watching it in black and white.

I’m imagining what a world would think of if they had somehow gotten to this level of technology and overall media consumption without ever having had the black and white phase, like if all photos, movies, and shows had always been in color since their inception. No one would have nostalgia for it, no one would
