I have no issue with women being in the military or serving in combat roles. Including regular infantry. Fighter pilot, tank gunner, artillery, helicopter door gunner.... Go for it.

The standards were out in place because those are the requirements to successfully do the job and complete the missions. Lowering the standard lowers the effectiveness of these special forces teams.

There are many roles in the military. And women can be the equal of a man in a majority of them, like military police, motor pool mechanic, and even basic infantry.

As long as they don’t lower the standards to make sure they get some successful candidates. Like the way fire departments changed the physical exam from carrying a 200lb person down a staircase to dragging them down. Or worse, setting up a tiered system where women have to reach a lower bar than the men.
