Agreed.
Agreed.
I've been to a few McD's outside of the US. They may look schmancier and (depending on the country) serve a few dishes that would be unusual to Americans (mayo with your fries? Danke!), but basically the food is just about as...
Another image attempt.
That shit will get you banned on Gawker, and for good reason (I think): It behooves us all to read the articles.
I'm guessing that the "genetic" effects that are not likely to have turned up in just a few generations will turn out to be caused by epigenetics instead. After all we're talking about people who underwent great stress and privation.
I really appreciate your taking time to apologize. I've had a few bad days and have found myself having to do the same thing. One of the people I apologized to ended up becoming good friends — we even got together along with a few other fellow Gawkerites.
well then you're an idiot for scaring your little girl.
I never said that they don't get those things — that guess was remarkably prescient. I am saying that it was also remarkably hopeful, whereas my guesses for the world of 2200 would, in general, not be very hopeful.
Here's the drawing as best I could reproduce it; it's too large (and I was too close) in order to get the full thing, but this basically captures it.
Terri Schiavo was actually a situation I disagreed with. Yes, her life was sad, but she was essentially (in my mind), like some kind of mammal that smiled and existed without extreme measures, and starving any person or animal to death is wrong. My baby also can't feed itself, and has no real higher intellect, but I…
What I would like to know is, if they're so against birth control, how the Santorums only have seven children.
At the very least, it makes for an awesome screen saver!
I concur. I was surprised to see that on the list. Maybe it just came up when someone searched 'movie flop' quotes because I've never heard anyone refer to it as such.
Poor students will be given free board, free clothing and free books if ambitious and actually unable to meet their school and college expenses. Medical inspectors regularly visiting the public schools will furnish poor children free eyeglasses, free dentistry and free medical attention of every kind. The very poor…
I was 2-for-4 (the middle two). After clicking on the link, I saw a few more that were a bit more obvious. Cool idea!
That photograph clearly shows a recycling center: Plastics, cans, and paper.
In my childhood room, my parents, both psychiatrists, put up a piece of artwork that had been penned by a schizophrenic. It was very hallucinatory and weirdly sexual. I have no idea why they thought this was ok. After I had some nightmares, they donated it (wait for it!) to the mental hospital my dad worked at.
Fascinating (and well written!). I think I came across some of these ideas in Charles Mann's 1491; in any case, it wasn't in such great detail. I hope we learn more about early South American peoples in the decades to come.
The kids, wife, and I managed to watch Seasons 1 and 2 (thanks to Hulu) and then struggled with some other sources to watch Season 3 (thanks to Project Free TV).
Thanks. If some of my "illustrative" friends can help, one day your wish may come true.
