The last time I worked for the federal government, in 2016, my coworkers used the words “fa**ot” and “ni**er” inside the office, during the workday. HR did nothing. Evening drinks at the bar? I’m sure they said worse.

After another 4 years, we’ll return to burning rivers and acid rain.

The census is still 6 months away.  Under Trump’s leadership, that’s about 800 scandals and 3,000 lies still to go.  There’s no way he’s following through with this threat.  He’s too senile to be dedicated to anything.

I’m not surprised that a bigot said something stupid, but I’m disappointed that teams of people thought the message should spread.

Of course there’s enough news! But first, listeners would have to genuinely care about a variety of issues and places. There are currently multiple genocides on multiple continents... and Americans shrug. It’s awfully self-centered to think that elections and coups and wars in other places don’t matter or aren’t even…

...and yet police departments are already using our tax dollars to buy those computer systems that you mock.

This isn’t a matter of people being “left out” of something cool or interesting. The systems are going to make more errors in minority populations. Those errors will lead to innocent people becoming targets of harassment, interrogation, arrest, etc. We should all be calling this out, and law enforcement should be more…

Wow, my reaction went in the opposite direction. The question isn’t hypothetical. We already test medicines on small subsets of the population. Drugs are less effective on minorities because the drugs are designed for white people. That’s already a thing. And you’re just casting it off as paranoia.
