I’m sure I know why she thinks this.  In her view, the Holocaust wasn’t a bad thing to happen “to” Germany because the victims weren’t German.  Jews are not Germans, Mormons are not Germans, and gays aren’t even really people.

My mom tells stories about working part-time for $1 per hour to put my dad through college. They also bought a house. Not an apartment. A whole fucking house with front and back yards.
