@Arggh! there goes a...snake a snake!: That's pretty cool you haven't been getting them. I don't frequent Youtube, but when I do watch a video I usually get an ad. Either a "watch this for 30 seconds before you video plays" type of ad, or a "hey I'm going to take up 1/3 of the video window" kind.

@Jason Rouse: Android is still a relatively new OS. That is the only reason there are so many updates, they're just playing catchup. Google has already said that this whole "update every 2-3 month" deal is going to be over very soon, stating that they're working towards having an update maybe once or twice a year.

NPR's apps are fantastic. I have the main one for the droid and it's spectacular.

I totally agree that wireless networks should be more open and operate more like televisions. However, some people aren't too keen on paying 600 dollars for a new phone every year. I understand why carriers have people sign contracts. However, it should be an option.

@taniquetil: How is that a problem with my logic? Thats exactly what I was talking about. The reason they are leaving is because they can get the work done cheaper elsewhere.

They could care less about the suicides. I just listened to a piece on NPR, how the working force is starting to strike and demand higher wages. Chinese currency is going to start increasing in value, people are going to be making more money.
