I wouldnt say Macek 'improved' macross, more along the lines he made it possible to be shown on regular TV rather than relegated to a niche anime vhs import. Without Macek, Macross and the other 2 series wouldve been a lost cause to the general american public.

I watched Voltes V to death when I lived in the philippines, I like him better than the pretender called Voltron.

Pretty sure Gigantor is the first giant robot...with Mazinger Z being the first piloted robot and Voltes V the first giant robot made up of several smaller vehicles.

I didnt like the madcat if only because it was too similar to the marauder(unseen version). For battletech I think the atlas is more iconic, if only because it was an original design compared to the other initial release mechs.

At level 100 the dailies and jousting are so easy. I can complete a full set 20min or less depending on traffic from other players killing quest targets.

Considering the original is irreplaceable...Zach Quinto did a fine job..:/

I'd like to believe Zsnyder was under a lot of pressure to 'modernize' superman, especially with Cnolan as a producer. Look at 300 being so true to the comic source, I think without the apparent pressure for the movie to be financially successful he could've made a more traditional superman.
