"And believe me, I did not pay attention in history."
"And believe me, I did not pay attention in history."
If you've heard the Tim Timebomb and Friends stuff, this is insanely accurate. Rancid is a folk act on double speed.
I think you actually nailed it - I rarely say "damn, I wanna hear 'Meteor of War'!" but I *DO* find myself wanting to hear the entire album end-to-end.
99% sure that Sovereign turned into a solid-red bird, not a bald eagle.
Wasn't the Sovereign. Sovereign turned into a falcon or hawk or something, that was a bald eagle that got shot.
It IS a show that's almost entirely about white guys, made by white guys. It is the most White Nerd Guy show on TV, quite possibly. Everything about it is catering to White Nerd Guys. There's like, one semi-regular black character and one regular woman (who is voiced by a man).
Didn't John Linnell of They Might Be Giants promise something similar, a set of songs about every state in the U.S. and released maybe fifteen of them?
I was hoping I would get to post about Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League, but you beat me to it.
something something Valve can only count to 2 something
I think they've settled into whatever the punk version of the county fair circuit is.
This is probably my second-favorite Rancid album behind 2000. It's probably their "best" album as these things go, though. 2000 is a stronger "message statement" from the band.
WEIRD MUSICAL SYNERGIES: Rancid's "GGF" and The Mountain Goats "Pale Green Things" - two album-ending songs about memories of horse racing and the frailty of human life. Also two of my favorite songs by said artists.
I'm not gonna get bogged down in the details, but the D&D alignment chart is gonna blow your fucking mind.
the worst thing, and i hope you will agree, is the dudes who make characters for online games and it's just the same burly stubbly white dude that you play in most games anyway.
Chaotic Good, dude. You do your best to help those in need, but those that prey on the weak and helpless? Motherfuck 'em.
I go for the "Tightrope" look - huge pompadour, tight pants, etc.
the motherfuckin' Electric Lady, dude.
My current RPG rule of thumb is "make my character look as much like Janelle Monae as the engine can manage."
Only if you don't actually consider Buckcherry a "band", which I believe is the case in 18 states and Guam.
