Nigeria has a hell of a lot of oil, and is the biggest producer of it in Africa.

Remember, it depends on what the journalist asked. Perhaps not “what is going to happen to the children?” But “are you going to kill the children?”

Sorry to be nit picky, but the McDonald’s coffee thing is a pet peeve of mine. The case was badly reported in the media, the issue wasn’t that there was no warning about the coffee being hot. It was a defective product lawsuit, because some idiot at McDonald’s turned the heat up until it was literally scalding hot.

And I mean, if Japanese animation studios just wants to cater to Japanese they can do that, but they are never gonna beat those american/western studios that cater to their own populations.

What’s her bias? That she’s not a fan of fanservice without something more to it?

Feminist Frequency never called for tearing down anything old, or even stopping anything new. It called for increasing the number of new things that are inclusive.

She called it “wretched”, but never actually calls for it to be banned or anything, just that she doesn’t like it. Opinions are fine to have, no?

That is the most insane possible response you could have given.

Anime is an art form and as such the creators should be allowed to freely express themselves.

Nothing in our article has had the slightest effect on the reputation that Mr. Trump, through his own words and actions, has already created for himself.

So if criticizing something is exactly the same thing as calling for it to be censored, then that means you criticizing her is the exactly the same thing as you trying to censor her. Why do you hate free speech so much?

I guess I’m a little confused as to what your point here is. Are you arguing against discussion of media and art? That we should just view it and keep all thoughts and opinions to ourselves?

As consumers, we also have a right to discuss the things we watch and buy. You’re telling people they shouldn’t exercise their right to talk about something just because you disagree with what they’re saying.

I have a dream, that one day, people on the Internet can disagree about things without resorting to murder threats and suicide requests.

Seven Deadly Sins is terrific aside from the main character’s sexual assault on another character being played for laughs constantly.

Seven Deadly Sins, the treatment of Elizabeth early on is REALLY bad.

Honestly, as a straight white (no longer teenage) male, anime fan service really pushes me away from the medium. I want to be able to get into shows and share them with people who aren’t already fans without getting weird looks because of random hypersexualization. Not saying it should go away completely but it

I fully understand that a lot of the fanservice in KLK was meant to be subversive, but can a satire of fanservice really be called a success if someone is still getting off to it? Bayonetta had the same problem.

Gotcha! Thanks! I hadn’t even realized there WAS a goodreads award—and guess I got a bit more focused on that.

i have been an avid reader and writer for over 30 years, and i can honestly and truly say that i have even once considered a tome’s worthiness to read by its author’s cover.
