Shout out to whichever GenX (or older, I suppose) named him Bilbo Derek— you don't get too many Bo Derek references on TV today.

FX Presents Feud: Aretha & Dionne
It's not in syndication right now, but it *is* streaming and avail for purchase— so yes, residuals are being earned. But if you're a syndicator and u could pick up "Glee" and have to pay a lot for those songs vs. some other show with no music…not too tuff a call, especially consider tv ratings these days.
Re: syndication— the cost of paying the music royalties is probably pretty prohibitive. They were usually singing big hits, and those don't come cheap.
That reporter spent three hours driving around looking for that goose. Nice work if you can get it

Color me surprised that it took this long for someone to "well, actually" this trope.
The documentary is pretty good, its on Vimeo for free: https://vimeo.com/139745603
Oh shit, forgot about this one. Agreed on all counts. Takes a sort of interesting premise of illusionists using their skill to rob a bank but just goes in so many terrible directions. I saw it on a sneak-in-the-movies-marathon day & it was the last one I saw. Should stopped while I was ahead.
I feel asleep watching The Relic in the theatre, and I wasn't particularly sleepy going into it.
"And yet, all these people are protesting because of a video that attacks the memory of her dead son? What exactly am I missing?"
Glad to see Superstoree is going to get regular coverage. It has become one of my faves.
I like The New Girl a lot but would totally fine if this were the series finale. We've already watched the story arc of Nick & Jess as a couple. I have little interest in the young-marrieds-child-on-the-way story line of Schmidt & CeCe. Same with Winston's wedding prep/meeting his father story line. I'm good with…
I was just about to post the same thing about Paul Giamatti. I wonder what the story is there — did they stop production for some reason and then Giamatti hit the gym for some other role? Was this filmed way out of sequence? Who know. When he was wearing short sleeves, I noticed his arms were more muscular than I…
Spoiler:
You're being very generous with a B grade here, but your "B movie on an A budget" description is spot on.
"the one good movie Michael Bay ever gave us" Ummmm, did you ever see Pain & Gain? That was really good as well, sort of like Bay making a parody of a Bay movie— or lat least recognizing that the true story it was based on had some elements he could work with and then sending it over the top. Highly recommended.

The censored-for-TV version of "Caddyshack" is a work of art. Highlighted by "Hey everybody, let's all get laid!" being replaced with "Hey everybody, let's all take a shower!" There used to be a website celebrating how weird this version was, but it seems to have disappeared.
Never forget that some of the most popular movies of the 1950s were from the Francis The Talking Mule series.
