I join the chorus of folks here saying that Henry's search for electronics in the garage is the the first move on the chessboard of him discovering some stuff he probably shouldn't. Maybe the first domino that ends with him turning in his family — though maybe he heads off with them to mother Russia and invents

Me thinks Allie Grant has aged out of teen roles— she definitely looked older than all the actual teens surrounding her. Unless we're all cool with he "Grease" school of 35 year olds playing teens.

Was "The Goldbergs" in danger of cancellation? The way the episode ended, especially with the "dedicated to my family" made it seem like this could also could've serve as a series finale'— I thought it was a lock for renewal early on.

"but I think we’re meant to believe that Jamie ultimately went through with dueling Randall because Randall abused Fergus."

When it comes to stories about time travel and trying to figure out inconsistencies, I go to the "Lost" school of thought: Time is like a flowing river- you can show a pebble in it and it will disturb the water, but it will just return to the flow undisturbed. In short: they'll never be able to kill him.

The police-chase-car-crash-scene in this movie is like Sideshow-Bob-stepping-on-the-rakes, but even longer. It eventually becomes a "fuck you" to the audience— "oh, you're bored with these cars piling up on each other? Here's another 10, go fuck yourself." It's really amazing.

Quincy Punk Episode "Choke" vs. CHiPS Punk Episode "I Dig Pain". Personally, "I Dig Pain" has stuck with me all these years. I can never remember 'Choke" until I watch the clip again.

Chevy Chase's "Save the whales, Save the trees? Save your breath!" at 01:07:40 has stuck with me all of these years and pops into my brain every time I'm approached by someone with a clipboard wanting my signature.

Kudos to "Girls" for defying my expectations by not having Sosh turn Ray's into a Cat Cafe.

One of the smallest bits of 80s realism that I really liked in this ep of The Goldbergs: the only apples in that bowl were red delicious, granny smith and yellow apples. Other, tastier, not as mushy apples really didn't hit until much later.

which reminds me — where is Genesis on this list? Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Roy Wilson for *Calling All Stations* https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…

One could also argue that Stone Temple Pilots had a third singer — Dave Coutts. He was the singer for Talk Show, the band that was STP without Weiland once he started getting too wacky on the junk to deal with. They had one album in 1997. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…

Yo, yo, yo — Kim Dylla made history as the first female *singer* for GWAR. The first female member was Slymenstra Hymen. How soon they forget: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi…

Born in raised in the 'burbs of Detroit, it was very-much-so news to me when I left for college that songs like "Fire Down Bellow," "Mainstreet," "Her Strut," "Come To Papa" & "The Famous Final Scene" (among others) were not the massive hits that Detroit radio had led me to believe they were.

And faintly in the background of Cochran's celebration: 'All 4 Love" by Color Me Badd

Watch again, the jury box was empty when Fuhrman walked in.

"Cross Dress For Less"

"On the other side, Shapiro (who tested the gloves earlier which, uh, can we fact check that?)"

A pretty spot-on review I once read said something like "the only people who find this hysterical are the people it is making fun-of." If you're well off, white and liberal leaning, you'll for sure recognize a lot of the characters and have a lot of laughs. If not, it's tough to say.
