Katie had way more leverage than Nicole though. First, she planned ahead (apartment, lawyer, security) but also, she had some kind of dirt on Tom that explains why she was allowed to retain custody of her kid whereas Nicole not only lost custody of her kids with Tom, she didn’t really get much visitation either. So I

Yeah. I am glad to see her on her way to becoming a regular celebrity, though. She’ll never be a regular person, and I’m well aware of all the privilege she has, but I was so proud of her for the way she pulled off that divorce.

Here’s what my morning show cast wore.

CBS This Morning: morning TV for adults.

I haven’t read the Jezebel comments on it, but I just tried it the other day. I really liked the flavor but it is incredibly weak. I asked the barista if it could be made stronger, but was told it couldn’t be. This might be the most boring comment I’ve ever made here.

The worst part of being pregnant is the unsolicited advice.

It sounds as if she repeatedly tried to help this man and his family when he was a child, but he dropped out of the two private schools for which she paid the tuition. That’s very different from his claim (funded and probably scripted by the National Enquirer) that she tried to adopt him and then abandoned him, so

The sound you hear is all of Jezebel Googling “Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.” That wiki page just got more hits than it has in the last five years. And the Jez MP is going to have a ten minute lull while everyone reads.

There are only two people who can speak on the end of this marriage and none of them are you. To so quickly point her out as the sole problem is ridiculous.

When police officers are put in schools, I noticed they tend to escalate situations. Maintaining discipline is hard and there are times teachers need help from admin. Someone trained in how to work with kids. I don't know how much training police receive but my guess is not enough.

Yea, to be fair to the officer, we only see the last 15 seconds of their encounter and don’t know what happened before. To be fair to the girl, nobody should flip over a desk with a teen in it, like, ever. I know that it can be difficult dealing with noncompliant teens, but fuck, decent humans don’t assault teens who

Exactly right. As a former sub, I actually do kind of understand how this kind of student’s behavior can make you crazy. Defiant kids who refuse to do anything are the worst and are a big problem in schools. But if you can’t deal with it, you shouldn’t be in a classroom setting.

Saddest thing about this i everybody keeping their heads down because they know that if they complain it will be worse. The students glance at her, no eye contact with LEO, the teacher backs away. Tragic.

I literally don’t care what she did to “deserve” this, this just isn’t how you treat a human being.

It’s all about Duran Duran, I don’t even know who half these other folks are.

Did you see the Mitt documentary on Netflix? I got the distinct feeling that Mitt was perfectly fine with not being president. Like, he was sad, because he lost, but in the way that people get sad after losing a softball game to an 0-4 rival. Kind of brush-yourself-off-it’ll-be-okay sad.

My friend used this exact analogy yesterday in reference to Jeb!. He’s the kid in little league who doesn’t want to be there but daddy won’t let him quit because “Men in this family play ball, damn it!”

These stories, all of these stories, make me cry. Every damn time.
