That’s not the internal audit group, that’s some damned competent accountants up and down the tree. Most internal auditors don’t know enough about complex accounting to test how right something is if esoteric, but instead are compliance testers - testing if the right process was followed to get the esoteric result.

An internal audit group lacks independence and would never issue an audit opinion. Doing so would result in the issuer being kicked out of his professional association.

News flash: a location owned by the factory has roughly the same overhead as a normal dealership. Margin expected would be sufficient to deliver a return on investment. So expect more of the same.
