A great job internet piece that is truly a great job. More articles like this, less youtube pop-culture mash-ups please!

I didn't say that at all either. They basically dismissed the series, and I am of the opinion that the series is equal to or better than the movie it was inspired by and that the Coens should reconsider their apathy.

That's pretty clearly intentional. The flat lighting is used to highlight the oppressive tension of being confined indoors.

I would say it is fiction made by fans in an homage to the original movie that transcends the term fan fiction, as fan fiction has a really negative connotation that makes it a label I would not attach to the Fargo series, but that is an argument of semantics.

I actually had not thought about that, but now that you mention it, that's a really cool detail that I should have noticed.

Oh, good, now I can have more nightmares forever. Thanks Del Toro.

I would add Billy Bob to that list too, I absolutely loved him in the first season, probably my favorite role of his since Bad Santa/The Ice Harvest. But still, Dunst really floored me, the fact that she lost out to motherfucking Lady Gaga made me want to punch babies.

To be honest, I only recently got internet that allowed me to even see the comments, so I've probably missed out on a lot over the years. I knew they were there because I used to scan through them back in college, but between couch-surfing for 3 years without a computer and my parents old dial-up modem, communicating

I think if anything can come out of this discussion, it's that there's so much good in the Coen Bros. filmography that people will fight about how awesome it is. I think I would rank the Fargo series higher than a lot of Coen films because it's the first television series my family and I watched together in a long

Yeah, the more I think about it the more I'd probably put that up farther on the list, but there's so much good in the Coen Brothers movies it's like choosing the most cuddly puppy out of a litter of golden retrievers.

I could defend the Fargo series for literal hours and calling it fanfiction is really off-base, but I feel like a ton of people are going to do that for me in a sec here.

Almost said that one! It really is a tough filmography to rank, that'd probably be my number five, right after the Fargo series.

Because it's so fucking good.

I'd honestly be down for that, but Inside Llewyn Davis does not need to be changed. Still, the Fargo series is just so damn good I'd probably rank it right by The Big Lebowski, O, Brother, and Inside Llewyn Davis as some of their best work (if it were theirs). I guess three years is a long time for me to wait for more

Considering that Fargo is the best Coen bros related property in a long time (and I love the Coens) maybe they should take a step back for a moment and re-think how they feel.

Yeah, well, you're just a bunch of spiders.

I'm reading I, Claudius right now and if read in Kanye's voice:

Alright, it's pretty super complicated: I'm attracted to both genders.

In an irony to avatar thing, it would have been better if your name was "heroin" for this post.
