Only because they left Gawker because people started catching wise and not falling for it. They moved to Jezebel where we’re not used to the schtick quite yet.

After I found out it existed, I was so alternately fascinated/hurt by it. But then I watched as communities built around shared hatred of certain internet commentators ate themselves with in-fighting, and realized, yeah, that kind of negativity is like a black hole. Eventually they just collapse on themselves.

Obsessed is the right work. I’m one of his targets, and he shows up with some regularity the more I comment. He’s pretty easy to spot, though, I have to say. An obsession with my professional history is his hallmark.
