I'm not surprised, this is pretty much how they operate.

Know what I liked about the COTD? All the detail, it made the story come to life. Mack Granite chassis' and 220,000 lbs and 4 U-shapes 3" tall and it's a nice day and the lady saying, "holy Sh*t" and a 12 lb sledgehammer. Great story and a worthy win.

I'm sure most of you have heard of VW's marketing partnerships with companies like First Act (electric guitars) and Trek (bicycles). Well, back in the early 80's personal computing was transitioning from Heathkit computers programmed via punch cards to "modern" devices running on BASIC with 16k of memory. VW

I smell a patented Murilee Martin TV cop car poll, coming soon to a Jalopnik Retro Network station near you.

So he pays 6 grand when he bought it new and now wants $6500 for it? I guess he thinks the rust holes in the roof are a $500 value add.
