Same. Not effective immediately, of course, but since there’s usually about a week in between my wearings, I figure sunlight and the hot interior are inhospitable enough over that kind of timespan (never mind just the time itself) that it’s effective. I do still wash it every few wearings though.

I saw someone on Twitter put it like this: we shut off the water to fix a broken pipe, but now we are turning the water back on without bothering to actually fix the pipe.

The number of things that people have to be reminded to “not flush down the toilet” is staggering.

We shouldn’t need to protect ourselves from law enforcement - they are supposed to protect us from criminals.

I wish there was clear guidance on dealing with in-laws that think we’re “in the clear” because states are opening back up. They were wearing masks, socially distancing, buying curbside take out, etc. Then a switch flipped when stores started opening and they drove 300 miles to spend memorial day in a South Carolina

The truth: At many/most gyms, how/whether you stay safe will not be up to you. You’ll be at the mercy of others, through no particular fault of those other people since the US has done a shitty job of getting testing and tracing up and running. Most gyms do not have the space to adequately social distance, and most

Spreadable butter does not have to be the fake stuff. I make my own version of the store bought stuff, because its easy. Its just butter whipped with oil.

Mayo grilled cheese is the single most disgusting thing I’ve ever eaten that didn’t include raisins.  It’s foul and I’d rather starve than eat that bit of nastiness.  Why waste perfectly good bread, cheese, and mayo with this abomination of cooking???

Yes, it is exactly “fine.”

Best case is that neither exists, and we just wasted a bit of time on the internet. Worst case is that they are real, in which case she might move to Canada... And it will be a disaster. If he isn't a catfish, then he is still emotionally manipulative, clingy, and quite possibly not actually into women. So that's

Yeah, so I stopped reading the second one somewhere around the part where she’s 27, doesn’t “work”, and her horrible mother treats her “like a maid and a taxi service.”

Thank you so much for this. Now if only Kinja can implement tagging so I can tag obvious trolls and ignore them more easily.

Seriously, I wish someone were paying people to do what you just did.

I hope these workers get a win out of this. We should value these jobs, and more importantly put people’s lives ahead of profits and convenience.

You wash your hands after removing the mask because it could be contaminated, but I’ve never heard of anyone saying to wash your hands after installing it.

Could just do this.

I’m with you. The medical professionals I know that are working right now will strip down their clothes in the garage after coming home from work, but not on a general trip out in public.

I think that’s what kills me the most. I could be doing everything right, but still get sick. It almost makes me want to say “screw it” and not deal with everything. But I have a kid and would be absolute wracked with guilt, so I try my best even though I know that it just may not be good enough.

Dealing with all of the precautions -- which may or may not even do any good -- is completely exhausting.

What do you recommend for cleaning the rubber of the buttons? I choked on coffee and spit it out on my controller and now my buttons stick. Was going to use alcohol but now I have no idea what to do.

Preheat the oven to sub 212 degrees, throw the stone in. That way when the pizza gets there (the assumption is that it will have cooled down) you can put it in an oven that is warm enough to warm up the pizza, but not hot enough to cook it further. It’s why the “keep warm” setting exists.
