Yes, Jet’s race essentially never matters at all, I really don’t see a problem if he’s Black in the live action version. And some colorism thing would just be silly, leave that sort of casting complication for a period accurate piece where the specific tone of one’s skin would actually matter.

I think John Cho’s Spike cosplay is really good! I actually thought Jet’s actor got the shot end of the stick here, since Jet’s outfit isn’t particularly exciting so we won’t know how well he nailed the character until we see some footage.
