    >>>In white minds, people of color are automatically a threat.<<<

...Again, the video shows that TR was pointing what seemed to be a gun at random targets. Open carry is not “Open start threatening to shoot in a public place.”

...I’m sorry; is that an attempt at a serious post or irony? Do you really think that either the law or police training requires an officer to shout those words before he shoots when he thinks his life is in danger?

    >>In the video the cop car speeds up next to Tamir and the officer jumps out of the car and starts shooting immediately.>>

The question is, if you were a cop and you opened your door and found an apparently armed, apparently violent and crazy 185lb male standing within inches of you, would you shoot or wait to be shot? This isn’t the Trayvon Martin case - shooting an apparently armed suspect at point blank range is survival.

    >>That’s relevant to Tamir Rice and John Crawford how, exactly? We have video evidence showing the opposite.<<

Open carry doesn’t mean threatening people with a gun, which is what the 911 calls had reportedly said Taimr Rice had been doing. As for Rice being 12, how can the officers be held responsible for that? The kid was an adult height and weight and holding what looked like a firearm.

    >>The first compiler, and by extension the first modern computer language were created by Grace Hopper, who probably deserves contributory credit for every computer program of any sort that you’ve ever seen.<<

I thought everyone knew that when you’re offered percentage points of anything but the *gross* that you’re not going to get anything? *Return Of The Jedi* never went into “profit” for accounting purposes. Nor Forest Gump or the 2002 version of Spiderman (which is hilarious, because the guy who got burned was Stan Lee.)

The police normally hit with only 1 shot in 10 in combat - but that’s actually a very good rate when shooting with a handgun, in fear for your life (you have no idea what adrenalin shakes are like until you’ve had them) and while having to try to find cover or defend yourself.

..Also, as a confirmed Star Wars hater, the only really likeable character in the entire franchise is Annakin’s padawan in Clone Wars.

Bracket saved the second movie and Marcia Lucas the first:

There’s also the anti-feminist episoide of TOS where a woman takes control of Kirk’s body and hijacks the Enterprise and makes a mess of her stolen command. Message of the episode “Women who want to e equal with men are evul and krazeee!” With a side of “Chicks can’t drive.”

I’m not a Star Wars fan - I hate the thing actually - but I am interested in film editing, so I read the section in “The Secret History Of Star Wars” on how Marcia Lucas’s editing saved the awful thing. Interesting story: in one of the Raiders films (don’t ask me which, I can’t stand them either) the first cut left

So this guy was twitting rape while the media and his fan base were hyping him as a femmist porn star and no one called him on it? No fans, no journalists, none of the production companies he worked with? Yuck.

    >>“BUT SOME WOMEN HAVE RAPE FANTASIES” is the first line of defense for the porn industry that is partially responsible for inculcating those fantasies.<<

    >>Because women are the spectacle, while men have the privilege of remaining the entitled, anonymous spectators<<

Was this article a deliberate piece of hypocrisy or simply incompetent? Alliance forces used massively more dumb than smart bombs in Gulf 1, despite a PR campaign concentrating on smart bomsbs. And after Gulf 2 US units often responded to hit and run mortar attacks from urban areas by calling in air strikes on those

I sometimes wonder why Harvard can’t just let in all of the people who are qualified to go there and want to get in.
