I’ve found the prequel soundtracks difficult to enjoy, simply because all their joyously overwrought emotion and bombast just seems to make the films themselves seem that much weaker in contrast. The score ends up feeling labored - trying passionately to sell you on drama and resonance that just isn’t there.

It’s probably mostly about financing, and a film with no “name” actors being taken fundamentally less seriously in the industry regardless of whether it “needs” them or not.

I can actually see some weird potential for a story where nobody can touch anything.
I personally favor a slower intro and build with horror, because I think establishing normalcy (for later contrast) and connecting with characters is generally important to it as a genre. That said, it’s really more about screenplay efficiency than just about time. A slow build doesn’t have to literally be slow.
I think the point is “continuity”. There’s a line of thinking whereby a precise duplicate is the original, so a clone body with my thoughts “uploaded” to it would truly be me.
