I dropped in to say something pretty much the same — keys get left in the visor when you’re specifically leaving a car for someone else, and you don’t want to leave the keys in the ignition to be easily seen, but also want the person picking it up to not have any trouble figuring out where they are (or to be able to

As I tried to make clear, the theory’s not suggesting the Mirror, Mirror universe, it’s suggesting a parallel universe.

2. Why does everyone keeping typing “cannon” when they mean “canon?”

I’ve actually heard it rumored that the whole Discovery series might be taking place in a universe parallel to TOS (not the evil Mirror, Mirror universe, but a different one), and that Lorca is actually from the TOS universe and marooned in this one, trying to nudge it into what he perceives as the “right” direction.

Yeah, I’ve heard tell of kids in marathon South Korean arcade sessions ending up dehydrated or dead from heart failure, but at least they seem to have been sitting down while they wasted away.

Or the “Thunderbird Photo”.

Only zombies drive Alfa Romeros.

It’s great that the theme song/intro subverted the convention of encapsulating the premise of the show — While the intro makes it appear that Oliver is the one joyfully embracing rural life, and Lisa resisting it, in fact on the show it’s she who ends up adjusting pretty casually to the insanity of Hooterville, while
