Yes! The little retro speed running community I’m in calls him Smokin’ Bill Murray.
Yeah, that bug! I only learned about it last year when I went to do a replay. There are several fan-hacks available now, and at least two of them fix it.
Crystalis is a GOAT Zelda-like, unless it’s aged poorly? I never got around to Demonhead, seemed a little crappy on the surface but it appeared to have a lot of…
Faxanadu is one of my favorite NES games. You hit the nail on the head, Alexandra. The music and atmosphere make it. The graphics are great (for 1987/9) and the gameplay is solid. Bu the music is top notch,.
wrong.
As a non-sports-game fan Blades of Steel is one I still fondly regard. When it was trying Konami really had NES aesthetics on lock, even for sports. Don’t forget the half-time Gradius minigame!
May not go platinum, but it’s fun! I just hope that internet fame doesn’t go to Mr. Moon’s head! He already looks to be a bit on the cocky side...
Thank you for mentioning Ivy!! They had a fantastic album run!!! I have been waiting for another album from them for a while, but alas, no more may come. I listened to Paco (which I think had the other two members without Adam), and it was good but definitely not the same.
Fountains of Wayne wasn’t even his main band, but that’s all any of the obits are talking about. It was basically a side project. Barely even any mention of IVY which was a better band. Obviously not as commercially successful but they had a couple of singles on the “There’s something about Mary” soundtrack and some…
Listening to “Long Distance” now (borrowed from Hoopla) - love it. It reminds me a little of Inara George and The Bird and The Bee. Thank you for the recommendation.
Radiation Vibe is an all-timer
Stardew Valley. That game gives me so much joy. I would love to go through it and feel that joy of discovering everything in the game, to keep finding secrets and the depth of a story that is outside what is just on the surface. A far off war, an empire expanding, a corporation attempting to buy out an entire…
I remember hating the fuck out of that ad last year too! Ah, nothing says Xmas like the gift of irrational annual rage..
That should have worked out better for the husband, as women clearly don’t ever go into the garage. Unrealistic ad!
Sometime in the future, I think Cult will be seen as the best TV (and possibly film) metaphor for our current political moment.
Or perhaps Kajagoogoo were just to shy
I was hoping that the secret to Brooke’s ageless beauty was going to be the last minute pact with Satan she made while dying. Oh well!
When Bush hit the scene, there was a lot of talk about how Gavin Rossdale looked like a model and he’s definitely attractive, but Kurt Cobain was a stone cold fox as well. Such piercing eyes.
Wasn’t that same Camp Hill mall (Boscov’s parking lot) rumored to be the scene in Back to the Future where Doc gets the speed to go back in time and the terrorists are shooting ?
Reid and McCoy together is great news for Kansas City restaurant owners and terrible news for Kansas City restaurant staff.
