I’m kind of torn on Godejohn. On the one hand, it feels unfair that he’ll spend the rest of his life in prison while Rose is free after eight years. On the other hand, he wasn’t a direct victim of Blanchard’s abuse, making it essentially a vigilante killing.  It... might not be the best thing to make those legal.

I’m the guy who owns the market and I’m terribly shy, so they gave me this technical he-elp...

I know it was accessible with mods, but my whole point is that there were CONGRESSIONAL HEARINGS over a mildly naughty scene in a game (that was already rated M) that wasn’t even in the game as released. It’s like if Disney got fined because an artist had a picture of Mickey and Minnie boning on their personal hard

I think the number of people who have actually played Night Trap is microscopic.

The hot coffee mod controversy feels so hilariously tame now. It wasn’t even part of the actual game!!!

This is an embarrassment.

And the Diamond Casino update trailer used Eddie Murphy’s “Party All The Time”, a song no one EVER thought could be put to good use.

No one - and I mean no one - does a better job with trailer songs than Rockstar. Their choices are always just outside of what you’re expecting, yet absolutely, positively perfect. Who else would have picked a deep(ish) cut by Florida’s own Tom Petty to score the glamour, swamps, and depravity of Vice City?

I went to the Ronnie James Dio hologram tour in 2018 and it was godawful. It wasn’t even a hologram, it was just a CGI Dio that had like six different moves, and it was only deployed for about a third of the songs (the rest was handled by two different singers, one of whom was Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, the former Judas

I had a similar thought - amazing that Shane hung on until 65, and sadly not at all surprising he dealt with major health issues later in life.

That means both singers from “A Fairy Tale of New York” are no longer with us (Kirsty MacColl died in 2000 at the age of 41.) We also lost Mars Williams, who plays the iconic saxophone lick on The Waitress’s “Christmas Wrapping”, earlier this month.

Musk seems to genuinely believe that the responsibility is on advertisers to justify NOT using his platform, instead of the other way around. That’s, like, the most foundational principle of market economics and it’s lost on him.

Mega Man 2 is absolute perfection.

The answer has to be Street Fighter II.  Improving on a little-known original game to essentially redefine video games for the next 8-10 years.

This is what instantly popped into my head. I guess it’s a matter of how you define the question - is it ‘best game that’s a sequel’ or ‘sequel that was the biggest improvement over its predecessor’? For the latter, I feel like GTA3 and Team Fortress 2 are way, way up there. Does Starcraft count as a sequel?

This suck so hard. Hit & Run stands so far above every other Simpsons game. It’s fun, deep, and most of all, the script is actually really funny - funnier than the show was circa 2003, to be honest.

It was a one-off joke, and for some reason, the media content machine picked up ‘Homer says he won’t strangle Bart anymore’ and ran with it as if it were a press release from 20th Century Fox. It reached the point where the Prevent Child Abuse Association put out a statement praising the show for their decision.

Ugly Kid Joe recording a dead-serious cover of “Cat’s In The Cradle” is undoubtedly the most confusing cover song choice I’ve ever encountered. For those who aren’t familiar, imagine Weird Al covering “My Heart Will Go On” or “Tears In Heaven” without the slightest hint of a joke.

It does, and it’s somehow even worse than you’re imagining.

Richard Moll was 80? Now I understand why he wasn’t part of the reboot.
