Does any conservative operation offer LESS bang-for-buck than Project Veritas? I’m kind of stunned that they continue to rake in funding, because most of their stuff is a complete bust, not even useful for conservative outlets.  They’re still living off that stupid 2016 ACORN video.

S’mores Pop Tarts came out my senior year of high school and I ate two of them for breakfast pretty much every morning that year, then permanently burned out on them.

Ha, we’ve all done that mattock strat at least once.

What makes the jumps so hard isn’t the jumping itself (which is Castlevania style) but the acceleration! For the first half of the game, your character needs to build up a head of steam to get to full speed - which is really hard to do when you’re standing on, like, a two-block platform. Later in the game the

The key system is SO annoying - especially since you’re limited to just 8 items in your inventory including keys, potions, and anything else. By late game you really can’t afford to waste spots on anything but health potions.

To this day, I write my zeroes with a slash through the middle - a habit I picked up from transcribing NES passwords.

Faxanadu is definitely one of my favorite NES games that doesn’t get listed among the typical classics. I too got it for Christmas one year after months of anticipation - I would look at that box in the store and just thought the game looked SO COOL and so up my alley.

Punch Out! is a pretty egregious omission on my part, I’ll admit. That’s a pretty good ranking - though I don’t see how one could possibly rank Tecmo Bowl ahead of Tecmo Super Bowl.

I remember burning a cd of Bebop tracks back in the day (probably downloaded from Napster or Kazaa). ‘Wo Qui Non Coin’ was definitely a favorite, along with ‘Piano Black’, ‘Bad Dog No Biscuit’, and of course, ‘Blue’.

Easily one of the top 5 NES sports games. Impromptu rankings:

The ROM for this game has been out for a while - I remember playing it years ago.  The ‘battles’ were all short 2-on-2 hockey matches (I guess 3-on-3 counting the goalie)

Leaving the foot pic issue aside, Supermarket Sweep on Netflix is GLORIOUS. We’ve been blasting through them and Netflix needs to upload more episodes, stat. The 90's hair, the outdated brands, the white-collar sweatshirts, the nonstop clapping after EVERY SINGLE LINE, Ruprecht’s bizarre ‘fun fact’ tease going into

Circa 1999 I worked at a music store that would play these four-hour music video collections from Muzak on big-screen TVs (back when that was a relatively new phenomena).  This was one of three videos on those tapes that I cared about, along with Shonen Knife’s cover of “Daydream Believer” and Propellorheads’ “History

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the headline. ‘Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to a little thing called the NES.” All three of those are great choices - although Crystalis gets a little too grindy to finish in a short session IMO. Megaman 2 is usually my go-to for a quick action gaming burst. Heck,

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the headline. ‘Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to a little

This was the first video my family ever rented after getting our first VCR. My brother and I spent like an hour looking at every single video in the store before settling on this one, which we had no idea even existed. Obviously it became one of our favorite movies ever.

They’ve been called ‘Lady A’ literally from the moment they first appeared on the scene, because ‘Lady Antebellum’ is an annoying mouthful even without all the unsavory baggage. I was working in country radio at the time and that was all anyone ever called them. I don’t see why coexisting would be any more difficult

I would have gone with ‘A Lady’

I’m sure Amy Cooper is thrilled about this ‘rehabilitation’ that digs up even more dirt about her life for people who already hate her.  Who wouldn’t want a newspaper to interview their ex about them?

“Still, I’m impressed by the level of entitlement required to speak about a movement you know nothing about.”
