Harfoots are one of three Hobbit ancestral races that become Hobbits. So, while not specifically Hobbits, they are directly related. It’s not that I was “in the feels”, it’s more like I saw a number of similarities between the scene and what we see in Peter Jacksons Hobbit introduction. It’s meant to be joyous, happy,

The most exciting part for me was seeing that Admiral Yularan wasn’t just in for a cameo last week and is going to be an ongoing presence. Maybe we’ll even go into what made him into such a hardline Imperial officer after he got along so well with Anakin and Obi Wan during the Clone War.

It’s funny, but I’m also pretty sure they mean they agree with her stuff about “please buy the game anyway” and “don’t harass people online” in particular

Honestly, I’m thinking about skipping Andor next week.

which goes to prove my long running theory that bald people are bad at simple math

Extremely basic maths states that 5 out of 100 = 5% and 5 out of 200 = 2.5%.

5 divided by 177 is 0.028, but that’s 2.8%, not 0.028%

Regardless of the math debate, it’s still written improperly. It should be written as 2.8%. After the calculations are done you must multiply the answer by 100 to write as a percentage. 100 times .028 is 2.8. Writing .028% would be referring to a much smaller percentage.

Yeah, not only is it bad that they don’t know what a percent calculation involves, but since this was introduced in episode 172, that means this was introduced in the 6th to last episode, making it the last 3.39% of the TV series.

I think with Isildur they’ve done something similar as with Galadriel: Let them start out on a low point to let them grow through the show. And boy, does Isildur have room to grow! I hope they don’t mess it up in future seasons. Fingers crossed and all that.

I can safely say I’m rather enjoying it.

is it though?

In the thousands of years between the events in this story and the Galadriel you see in LOTR you gotta figure she’s going to grow and change. It would be really weird if she were the same person for so long a time.

I truly hope you’re right.

This show is frustrating in that it shows a lot of potential. The Second Age is a great setting for a story, especially a longer-form story, the characters are great, the cast outstanding etc, but it’s not quite gelling. The biggest problem is not having sufficient Tolkien dialogue to call upon: the Jackson movies use

yeah i was gonna say. ive read a few tweets and some headlines and everyones like “Pratt isnt doing a voice” and i kept muttering to myself that he did a small accent. like its there but i think people just want to complain about Pratt more than what hes actually doing in the trailer.

Wait what? Since when is saying “I appreciate this writer is only human and thus capable of writing bad things and good things, but I really hope his future works aren’t like his bad things” considered edgy?

Wow, I’m actually okay with this being a slideshow... wtf is wrong with me?
