I wonder whether “National Anthem” was in fact partially inspired by real-life made-up events.

A read of her Bluster article certainly makes it seem as if she noticed him sleazily propositioning her, not to mention her apparent incredulity at Peyton not being able to see through his bullshit.

What makes you think it was Moore calling the shots on the JLA’s inclusion? It sounds more like an editorial decision to me.

He can’t be Alan Moore, he hates comic books so much.

“zero-stakes"

This episode reminds me so much of the Blake’s 7 episode “Gambit”, right down to the smuggled in cheat computer and the gamble or die high stakes game.

You mean a Br'er Rabbit briar patch?

How did he do? Gregg is back but it’s not a death reversal. We all knew Fitz would be coming back because they mentioned going to look for him last season.

Unlike the other squid the architects of fear intended to use this one to damn the world rather than save it like Veidt did.

Lex appeared to have access to some kind of portal tech. Maybe he could use a bigger version of that to jump the Argo bound beam through hyperspace for even more horrible physics.

This is Gary we’re talking about. We’re lucky it wasn’t Constantine in the miniskirt.

I don’t watch your show, Ollie but aren’t you supposed to be travelling the timelines with the Monitor or something? As for John's reception everyone knows demons are tech savvy... look at Neron's EULA from hell scheme.

You’re a delight, but this isn’t the comic Crisis. Arrow bargained with the Monitor last crossover to replace Barry as the one who disappears.

Izabela will always be “tragic iZombie girl” to me but she really appears to have put some work into capturing Kara’s mannerisms. Hope we see more of her and Olivia Nikkanen.

I remember at the time Miller said he consulted with John Byrne who was handling the Superman books at the time before including that scene. So if he botched the character, this time he (supposedly) had help.

Maybe Avatar did well in part because it was an advert for stereoscopic 3D. If so, then that was a prime mover advantage that MCU can’t claim.

Disney have used some of the greatest animated movies of all time as templates but the magic disn’t transfer to the resulting live action adaptations.

They should’ve panned back a little more and had Darcy show up in there.

Timebomb” is just as catchy and would've fit lyrically.
