I love the Guardian over here in the UK. There’s also a campaign to pressure companies not to buy ad space in papers that spread hate, to make those editorial positions less profitable. It’s called Stop funding hate and is well worth looking at.

I’m not a Taylor stan either, but I find the attitude to her a bit disheartening. Katy Perry (who out-earned Taylor last year) gives $10k to PP and is a hero. No problem. I’ve been reporting all the hate speech since Brexit. There’s been a lot, so I’m well practised.

When they ask you how your reporting experience was, give it bottom marks and write exactly what was said to you in the comment box, asking how does it not violate community standards. Their reporting system is automated for the first round I think, I often get things taken down by doing this.

If you think the UK is grumpy, try mainland Europe. The customer service there can feel outright hostile in some places.
