This is maybe less radical than it sounds - diesel-electric drive is increasingly common for big mine trucks, bulldozers &c. The ones running predictable routes can even get power from an overhead catenary (like electric trains and trolleybuses). Technologies like this are pretty mature now.

I dunno if you can consider it a vehicle per se, but the some of the machines (draglines) that load haul trucks are all electric and fucking huge. 10,000 tons huge.

oh, and two hundo for that? considering for $300 I can get a 1080p chromebook, someone is trying to rip me off.... :( 🔚

Flex Tape should do the trick. If it works on boats...

While being buried up to almost the roofline like that means it probably was going to get written off by insurance anyway, the fuck gives some asshole in a douchebro truck the right to feel like it’s ok to drive over the top of it? And that lamesauce excuse of “Well... we weren’t the first or the last to do it...”…

This barely clears the “it’s better than nothing” hurdle. Let’s hope & pray that halo doesn’t somehow contribute to another “rare occurrence” tragedy solely because F1 feels the need to do something for the sake of doing something.

This is a revolutionary advancement in technology. Now when I play racing simulators on dual monitors, that line down the middle of the viewing area actually makes the experience more realistic.

God I love watching Vaughn hang it out! No doubt in my mind that he is going to be a motorsports legend in the future, given what he’s already accomplished.

I’m afraid you’ll have to wait for the Model ARRR to get that feature.

I want 8 spokes (with handles), so I can feel like a sailor

Formula Drift is in Canada this weekend, running one of the most big angle, technical tracks of the season. This is…

I heard that before completing several laps with the clear protective windscreen on the car, Vettel initially thought it would interfere with driver visibility.

Yeah, but throw in a wife, two kids, a dog, and about 80 pounds of cookie crumbs, and you’re probably not going to hit those optimal times.

The Ecoboost Flex laughs at your pitiful minivans.

I may or may not have smoked a guy driving a tC with a weedeater exhaust at a light coming from my sister-in-laws while in my Sienna last night. The pissed off look on his face was glorious. I love my minivan and the red rocket is faster than my Fusion, more comfortable, and more pleasurable to drive. That’s not even…

How is it a production car if they haven’t produced nor sold any?
