i just mentioned this film a week or two back in another thread but SABOTAGE is an awesome B-movie with Mark Dacascos, Carrie-Ann Moss and Tony muthafuckin Todd.

way to make it weird, zod!

meanwhile, the cast of hacky shit like Two and a Half Men or Big Bang Theory get gold-plated underpants…

what is the paul rudd disease - inoffensive likeability?

are you guys talkin' about the porn versions or the real version?

WHY CAN'T I UPVOTE THIS IDEA MORE THAN ONCE?!

wait - are you trying to say ramen is "the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful" noodle?

why stop there?! (but, wow, great choice - between that and Chinatown, John Huston was my go-to mental image of creepy old rich white fuck for a long long time… then i saw pictures of rupert murdoch, the koch brothers and sheldon adleson.) there are all kinds of shadowy government conspiracy flicks from the late 60's

i suppose, just by random weird cultural references, that i'd guess greek is a reference to gay butt stuff and french is tongue kissing and/or oral but i'm kind of ashamed to admit i have no idea what sex act the russians would be associated with.

go ahead, make a t-shirt of bernie as my favorite fuckin' pokeman ever - or stickers! why not make some of those, too?! it's like you don't even want me to ever pay off my student loans!

i always spent a few moments pondering whether that was some weird, outdated code-word or slang for some sexual kink - i kinda wondered, "is she asking him if he's into pegging or something?"

once you cast denzel washington and meryl streep i think you give up most of your options for being weird and off-kilter. they're big stars who command a big paycheck so now the movie itself has to do big business which i think was probably not the best approach to a story that should, ideally, be told in a more weird

well, i'm sure most kids will just download a pirated copy to their phone…

c'mon - the scene where denzel bites the thing out of schrieber's neck is pretty cool!

yeah, i first watched it on VHS in the early 90s, a couple years after the much-heralded re-release and it wasn't until years later i found a review that highlighted how that exchange could be read as janet leigh trying to crack his conditioning… in retrospect, it seems like it should have been obvious but i think at

i'm conflicted about the remake. it's nowhere near creepy enough and seems to telegraph a lot of the "twist" elements even if you're not already familiar with the original (my girlfriend hadn't seen the B&W original when we watched the denzel version and she was able to call most of the reveals before they happened;

dude's face looks like David Lo Pan crossed with a Michael Myers mask.

not to be reductionist but it kinda seems like letting a woman out of an oppressive contract is nope, not an option, we couldn't possibly… but renegotiating a dudes contract to pay him extra to not do any more work is A-OK.

good christ does my special lady friend love the album from this show. maybe the most beloved gift i have ever given her (well, under the christmas tree, yo.) it's enjoyable, don't get me wrong, but i don't really understand the level of loves it gets.

well, okay.
