I just can’t deal with The Sims’ price model. The base game is only like $15 to begin with, but the expansion are each like $40. It would cost something like $300+ to get all the expansions and official content packs. What you save by getting the base game for free is a tiny fraction of the overall price.

“Warehouse workers have absolutely no leverage because there isn’t any skill involved in their jobs.”

Don’t call this a “game”. This is just a different, modern implementation of company script that can only be used at the company store. It’s one of many fights that labor thought they’d finally won in the last century and are now having to fight all over again.

He knows the southern district of New York will send him to jail. The office is the only thing protecting him and he will do *anything* to keep hold of that office.

Demographically, 2016 and 2020 are the last years they have any chance at a presidential election. “Millennials” aren’t aging rightward like “Boomers” and “X-ers”, we’re aging leftward like the survivors of the great depression and WWI. For Trump to win in 2020 it will require a similarly tight electoral college

It is a statistical fact that older people don’t change their minds. Throwing ad money and cold-callers and door knockers at people over 55 is not productive.

Again, nobody with any sort of understanding of history would think handing over economic control to a government is a good thing. Never is giving a government more power a good thing.

Every older voter you win over is worth two votes and every convincing of at least not voting for the other side is denying them a vote.

I think you might have an incredibly narrow definition of what socialism is.

Nobody with half a brain is the first, so.... you do the math.

You’ll never change an old person’s mind, at best you might disuade them from voting. It’s almost a complete waste of resources to target them.

Is he a socialist or an American “Socialist”?

He’s no hero, he’s just the first rat to realize the ship is starting to sink.

Ethically they fine. They’re fairly anti DRM if that’s important to you. Like you said, they have the same split as Steam. Steam does have a slightly different split for smaller titles, it’s not much but I don’t think GoG does the same thing.

As a platform and storefront it’s not the best. But if your goal is to support indies as much as possible, it’s really the best place to buy your games.

I want there to be multiple strong competitors to Steam, but Epic has managed to have both anti-consumer and anti-developer/publisher policies.

I used to add the packet into the water before the noodles, which allowed some of the seasoning to be absorbed directly into the noodle as it re-hydrated.

I forget the episode number but it was in the later half of season 6. One of her quotes was easier to find.

“When my dragons are grown we will take back what was stolen from me. We will lay waste to armies and burn cities to the ground.”

The last 10 or so episodes haven’t necessarily done all the work to get her here, or to make Jon as devoted to her as he is. But this is the direction she has been careening since season one. Anyone who couldn’t see that simply chose not to. It makes sense, as a POV character we were on her side every time she
