I see your point, there is some hypocrisy in the photo/ caption on the cover. But what’s more important is that Linda 1 didn’t want to be photographed ‘as she is’ and 2 wouldn’t have agreed to do the cover ‘as she is’. She’s a person with feelings. She isn’t here to be your ‘living embodiment’.

The author’s insta is highly curated and selective and definitely poses herself as aspirational. So...where are those warts, Audra? Or are you also a, “living embodiment of all that women and femmes put themselves through to attain an cruel, expensive, and outdated beauty ideal?" Hm? Personally I find that sentence…

People like the author of this piece don’t understand what fiction is. 

If the title of this article was “Hulu’s ‘Not Okay’ Shows Us Everything That’s Not OK With Black Women”, everyone would be apoplectic.

She wants the movie to be true, so she can use it as proof that white women are evil.

If she cares so much about that, shouldn’t she move away and give the land back?

You’re a professional victim presumably, that makes it easy for you to read subtext that supports your own worldview of how awful white people are.

They are absolutely tripping over themselves to be both victim and oppressor.
