First year Corvette was available only with two speed automatic powerglide transmission. 😳  Yikes!

I can remember a time decades ago when some BMW’s gauge lights in the dash were red because red does not cause night blindness.

So I’m trying to imagine these rocket motors being anything resembling quiet. Actually it's not imaginable.

I’ve never found an answer to my question concerning stability control. What would you do in your situation you describe if you had stability control? Are we supposed to just treat it like ABS brakes as in stop the pedal and they didn’t do the job? What stability control should we just put the steering wheel in the…

Interesting how close the driver with the camera stayed so close to the out-of-control vehicle. I would have at least doubled, if not tripled my distance.

Welcome to the NRA’s armed anarchy utopia.

If I could’ve gotten in on this process I would’ve cast my vote for the first generation Mitsubishi Eclipse/Plymouth Laser. I’ve always gravitated towards curvy streamlined vehicles, and these are exemplary. BTW, the first two years of the Olds Tornado..YES!

GM is getting their shit together. I guess it had to happen sooner or later. That said, they still have horrific repair records in Consumer Reports owner’s surveys.

IMHO the current RAV4 is not only one of the angriest looking front ends but it also expresses disgust with the down turned corners of its mouth (grille). It looks to me like I just took a bite out of a shit sandwich and it’s just about to hurl.

The original Honda Element was the worst offender when it came to unpainted plastic body panels.

OK so that hood looks long enough to house an in-line 12 cylinder.

And GM has announced that they are discontinuing it. 🙄

Hey society nation and government needs taxes in order to function in an order for society to do things that free enterprise will not or cannot do. There’s an old saying if you want less something tax it more. Tax codes should be engineered to direct a nation in ways that benefit everybody in the long run. It seems…

THIS! Set the tax to predictively increase every year and use the revenues strictly to subsidize renewable alternatives, and research and development thereof. Let the versatile adaptable free enterprise system fill in the blanks.

Then I would have to suspect you like the generation for Prius. To my eye it looks like some Japanese stylist’s interpretation of an anime science fiction spaceship. Styling is a bit down on my list of priorities so as much as I love my 16 Prius for the machine that it is, I take solace that I don’t have to look at it…

Bright on my two Toyotas leaves the displays washed out and unreadable. Why Toyota didn’t simply up the brightness output is beyond me.

Thing is with the standard non-plug-in hybrid Toyotas, the battery is not there so much to drive the car any given distance, it’s there as part of the energy storage and management processes that make the drive train super efficient. If you top the battery off coming down a big long hill, the system will deliberately …

Honestly I have a worse time with those headlights than I do with my ‘16 Prius. They look inspired by SpongeBob and Little Orphan Annie. Thing is that’s the only distinctive style feature,  everything else is pretty much generic truck/SUV.

I have read reports the Ford is deliberately not selling as many as they could because the per unit profit is for lower than for the bigger trucks. This might be an indication that they underpriced the thing in this current market. This might be an indication of profit Uber Alles!!!

Back in the 1960s when I was a youngster I was taught to stop and look both ways and be sure it’s safe before crossing the street. Lots of pedestrians just don’t do that these days at least where I live. They just walk blindly right into traffic lanes trusting drivers not to run into them. Admittedly some of them to…
