I would gladly pay at least a $1 per gallon tax to have world class roads.

We are too busy cutting taxes for the 0.01%, and dumping multiple billions into “defense”. Who needs roads when we can create a few hundred billionairs and buy things like B2 Bombers and Aircraft carriers? The USA has its priorities sorted out!
Can’t wait for the street legal version. Just the thing to run to the grocery store in. It would make the ultimate ideological statement and not to mentions the inherent awesome status symbol that it would make
Counterpoint to high standard German licensing. It it true, and I thing deserving of emlulation. That said, Germany is a crossroad in Europe. Lots of clunkier cars and lower standard licensed drivers pass drive in Germany for other neighboring nations.
Second time I was Germany the rental car I got was a base 3-series BMW like they never sell to us Yankees, with an 8-valve 115 hp 1.8L motor, and relatively skinny tires. The RPM’s were way high at US high speeds in top gear, but here is the thing. It was geared to achieve redline in top gear, which happened to be…
Not Carter, Nixon.
And that is a problem????
That is a B.S. arguement, and agin I cite the autobahn as proof.
Semis are limited to 62 on the Autobahn. The largest vehicle I saw doing higher speeds was in fact a UPS truck ( I think it was the Mercedes version of the dodge sprinter) that was doing damn near 100mph in places.
The turbo diesel Golf I rented a few years back managed high 30’s mpgs, even as I had the throttle to the floor as much as possible and maintained speeds between 90 and 130, and note this is with near continual acceleration and deceleration due to other vehicles on the Autobahn with me.

Driving a 99 hp Prius C. Once in the 25k miles of driving did I want more power. Attempted to pass a semi at 70MPH on a tow lane road, and had to call it off due to the appearance of an oncoming vehicle. In my 1990 turbo Plymouth Laser, it would have been no problem.
Ummm I have a 1990 Laser Turbo FWD version, purchased new, and has spent a coddled life in my garage and driveen in mostly in the warm months. It has 105k miles and is in extremely good condition still. I do not experience torque steer. I still love it very much.
Wasn’t that a model specific styling? As in 318i to differentiate it from the 320?
A good number of very nice elegant late 60’s designs got “face lifted” into grotesque mutations in the immediately following years.
My personal preference was the 1966 version.
And these are multiple sequential facelifts of the original attractive graceful 1968 Chevelle.
Dont forget, this is Fox “News” Australian/Saudi owned, for profit propagantainment and GOP policy board all rolled into one. THEY are that fucking retarded.
I don’t understand Prius hate. There are plenty of other hybrid vehicle that don’t attract hatred and prejudice. Was it that South Park episode?
