Mindfulness doesn’t work for everybody. We had workshops in it at work and it made me incredibly anxious and panicked, and I was not alone in this. I have done other forms of meditation over the years that were better suited to how my brain works. While this program is an awesome endeavor, it’s important to remember

I had an abortion at 15 weeks to remove my already dead fetus. Although it was simple and quick the process, quite frankly, sucked. It hurt, I felt sick and sore for a couple of days afterwards.

I have never understood the point of canned, chopped tomatoes.

Yes, they need minimums because it’s already way too easy to exploit kids as performers/athletes. Giving asshole parents and national sports organizations free rein to create little gold-medal machines with tiny windows of success and then tossing them aside just creates incentives for the worst actors.

You talk a lot about the physical aspects of age, but neglect anything about mental developmental.

Terrible. Carrying strollers in the subway is the worst. I remember hauling my stroller and child up 2 flights of stairs, only to find out that the exit nearby was closed, then had to haul it down the stairs, go up another set to get out. Some nonsense like this would happen every damn time. Totally unsafe in an

Oh God, that story about the person staring at the sun is nightmare fuel.

This is pretty amazing. I wish I could have seen her face the first time baby had a blow out on all the precious 14-1219 tcx stuff.

I worked at a huge furniture company with a team of about 12 receptionists. There were a few older ladies and one had never been married and was already in her 50's so we knew she was never going to have children but she got an adorable white shitzu puppy. We decided to throw her a surprise puppy shower. Everything

Woo! I’ve got one! So, this chick was the SiL of my best friend, and when the baby shower invites  get  around, my best friend *begged* me to go because “jesus christ Heathens, this bitch is insane and I need a damn witness”

As a Dad, this really bothers me on a visceral level. Who WOULDN’T want to spend time with your kid?!? He’s YOUR KID. This will definitely impact them since “Dad doesn’t seem to care” which in turn will influence their parenting style which perpetuates this indifference.

I look forward to Corbyn rescheduling all votes to Saturdays.

“Louis Farrakhan has done some good things for Black prisoners. However, we unequivocally and completely reject his racist and absurd remarks about Jewish people.”

I mean, there’s a link to the article right in the middle of the post. And it’s in keeping with the standard Jez thing of being snarky about something that you probably haven’t heard about, in a way that is confusing out of context. Have you perhaps not been on Jezebel very long?

That’s... not defamation. Nothing BAD was said about them, AFAIK, they were simply misidentified.

It sounds like Average Anna has a pretty good time until she gets married and has kids.  That was obviously her mistake.

I’m sorry, how do I sign up for this condition?

It’s just so frustrating that it is assumed that all art is created by men unless there is extensive evidence otherwise. Then the fact that everybody “knows” that all art was created by men is used as a way to explain how men are just more talented than women.
